Frank Jackson commitment preview

Frank Jackson, a one-time BYU commit, reopened his recruitment this past spring and with it, saw quite the priority recruitment and from the best of programs nationally. However, the super mature and disciplined young senior guard diminished his list to a final group of four, of which he will select from tonight at 6:30pm.

Duke, Stanford, Utah, and BYU remain in the hunt and the Lone Peak guard brought HoopSeen through his thoughts are on each of the programs.

Duke:

“You’re playing for one of the greatest coaches of all time and so many successful people have come out of there and I know I would be pushed to be my very best.”

Stanford:

The coaching staff has been nothing but good to me and my relationship with the staff, the environment and the academics that they offer are awesome.”

Utah:

They have a great staff that I have grown to love and it’s only 25 minutes away from home.”

BYU:

“They have been with me since the beginning and been recruiting me since I got to high school and my relationship with them is great. It is also only 20 minutes from my house. I always admired and loved them since I was young and my relationship with the staff is great.”

While the three west coast programs all have solid chances at landing the five-star talent this evening, it would seem things look favorable for the Duke Blue Devils. Originally born in Washington D.C., distance doesn’t seem to be much of a factor with the 6-foot-3 guard and with the consistent need for top shelf talent in Durham, a potential commit to the ACC program should jumpstart another elite class as he slides alongside Jayson Tatum, and could see such others as Harry Giles, Marques Bolden, and/or Wenyen Gabriel follow suit.
