2026 Atlanta Jam: Top Performers 16U Pt. 2
SUWANEE, GA - In a talent-packed Atlanta Jam with college coaches everywhere, much of the priority is on 17u for recruiting but our team was able to evaluate a ton of 16u guys that coaches & scouts will want to put on their radar asap. Without further adieu, here are our Top Performers from the 16u division with names featured from all across the southeast:
Daemeon Holmes, Phoenix City Academy - Another Guard playing up, Daemeon Holmes is a class of 2030 that fits right in the 16U division. Showcasing the ability to be whatever kind of guard you need given the situation.
Need a floor general? He’s got that covered with elite vision creating opportunities for teammates. A scorer? He brought his team back behind 5 three pointers on Friday night. And don’t forget the defensive end where he is impossible to get around. He’s already generating buzz in the 2030 class and our guess is that will continue as he enters High School.
Martin Hulsey, Georgia Stars North - Interested in a skilled big with the ability to move? Look no further than 2028 F Martin Hulsey. Hulsey exploded in multiple games this weekend finishing with 25+ point double doubles.
His motor and agility, with a 6’8 frame paired with nice touch and skill with his back to the basket make him one of the higher ceiling players we saw this weekend in the division. Hulsey is also a football standout and showcases that with his physicality. Whatever route he decides to take, we’ll likely see Martin playing at the next level.
Braylon Barker, Elite Backcourt - ELITE Backcourt had a 3-1 weekend at Atlanta Jam and certainly lived up to their name, thanks largely to G Braylon Barker. He’s a strong guard who patiently picks his spots and can sustain offense by himself as showcased by a personal, game-opening 10-0 run in a game Saturday.
He stays active in the passing lanes defensively as well. After a slow Friday night he finished with games of 17, 27 and 16 points at Atlanta Jam. Circle him in July and leading into his High School Season.
Kale Martin, - Cereal Killers - Kale Martin was the engine that kept Cereal Killers rolling this weekend at Atlanta Jam. The quick, crafty point guard did an excellent job controlling the pace of the game and keeping his team organized. Martin consistently got paint touches, putting pressure on defenses and creating opportunities for both himself and his teammates. He was comfortable operating in the pick-and-roll, making smart decisions and delivering timely passes when help defenders stepped up. When defenders went under screens or gave him space, he made them pay by knocking down shots from the perimeter. Martin’s feel for the game, pace, and ability to make winning decisions with the ball in his hands stood out throughout the weekend. - Mekhi McKinney
Zion Dixon, Devin Butts Elite - Coming off an All-Region Sophomore campaign with East Laurens HS down in Dublin, our HoopSeen team had high expectations for Dixon coming into the travel season & he has surpassed what we even thought.
Bob Gibbons weekend, he left being named a 1st Team Top Performer & after multiple high-level performances at Atlanta Jam - he’s back in familiar territory on this list. Zion Dixon is 6’4” hyper-athletic wing who lit up crowds with some electrifying dunks over the course of the event. He’s a good shooter off the dribble and can create space using his handle. Defensively, he’s versatile and can guard anyone on the floor. Look for his stock to continue to improve as we head into July’s Live Period events.
Ben Garrett, HoopAthens - 2028 Guard Ben Garrett was one of the top scoring guards we had in this weekend’s Atlanta Jam. In the final 2 games of the weekend, Garrett was unstoppable as he finished with games of 25p & 29p.
A shooter who moves well without the basketball, used screens to find openings to get shots up that went in at an efficient rate. His shotmaking was impressive as he was able to hit both off a catch & a dribble while still being able to attack the rim when defenders close-out too tight on him. Look for him to make an impact for a Prince Avenue team coming off another great season.
