Norcross Heat 2028 & 2029 Preview
I got a chance to stop in on a Norcross Heat workout this past Saturday at Suwanee Sports Academy to check out their talented 2028 and 2029 groups.
The 2028 group is highlighted by elite guard play from Xavier Barber, our Elite 72 Camp MVP, who looks primed for a breakout spring. Alongside him is Jason Aké, an Australian guard out of Wilson Academy who is set to become a hot commodity in the state this spring. They are far from lacking on the wing, as they have a strong combination of shooting and athleticism with Wilson Academy wing Chris Mbunga, North Springs’ Jaiden Bocachica, and Peachtree Ridge’s JoJo Bowen. They also have other quality pieces not listed, but this will be a fun group to keep an eye on all spring and summer.
Moving on to their 2029 group, they have several prospects looking to make a name for themselves this spring and summer. The group is led by the Wilson Academy freshman duo of London Walker and Noah Joseph. Walker is a crafty guard, while Joseph protects the rim well and shows solid touch. They are also joined by another Wilson Academy freshman, Djordje Knezevic, a new addition to the state who should gain traction this spring. Coach Rick has put together a talented roster that includes Banks County guard Aidan Beasley and the Gwinnett County crew of Central Gwinnett guard Khalil Myrieckes, Dacula’s Zayne Sanders, Nehemiah Fortun and expect a solid season from Brandon Harrison.
It’s shaping up to be a promising year for the Norcross Heat program. I’m definitely excited to track their 2027, 2028, and 2029 groups this upcoming spring and summer.
