HoopSeen Weekly Report 01.11.26
Another good week of hoops here in the Peach State. Highly competitive region games are going on across the state as well a ton of cross-town rivalries where winning means that much more. Our team has listed below 30+ of the best players we saw across the state from the following games covered; Parkview v Berkmar, Mount Bethel v Mount Paran, Holy Innocents v Lovett, Kennesaw Mountain v East Paulding, Pebblebrook v Osborne, John's Creek v Milton, Marietta v Sprayberry (G), Sprayberry v Marietta, Westminster v Lovett, Fannin County v Pickens.
Best We Saw...
2027 Kolton Kaylor - Fannin County:
Kolton Kaylor was the biggest standout of the week. At 6’7, he brings a rare blend of size, guard skills, and high-end athleticism. He handled the ball comfortably, made smart decisions as a facilitator, and showed real versatility as a scorer.
Defensively, he popped just as much — sliding with guards on the perimeter, contesting at the rim, and impacting possessions with his motor and instincts. He finished with 22 points and packed the stat sheet across the board.
I think Kaylor is one of the better long-term prospects in the entire class. With his tools and trajectory, he’s poised to be a name that really blows up as we head into the spring and summer.

2027 Brandon Pemberton - Parkview: A lot can be said on the breakout of Brandon Pemberton here in Georgia over the past 6 months that started at the Relentless Hoops camp this fall. In a region win over Berkmar, Pemberton finished with 14p 13a 10r 2b in a game where he was able to show off his complete skillset. Ultra-confident wing that can defend multiple positions on the court. Possesses almost a 7ft wingspan that helps him create space and finish at the rim over defenders. Was great in the pick & roll and made defenders pay for doubling him off the ball-screen with his court vision & decision making. Look for Pemberton and his Parkview squad to continue making waves and for him to soon become one of the household names in Georgia basketball.
2029 Caiden Hudson - Mount Bethel:
Freshman Cadien Hudson delivered a complete effort while pouring in 25 points. He controlled the game from the point of attack, creating for teammates, keeping the offense steady, and impacting nearly every possession. He likely flirted with a triple-double, and his defensive presence jumped off the floor — hounding the ball and timing blocks at the rim with precision.
Hudson is also firmly in the conversation as one of the top long-term prospects in the 2029 class. As he continues to grow and refine his game, he’s tracking to become a highly touted national name over the next few years.

2028 Leah Dewitt - Marietta: One of the top girls recruits in the state had another standout performance in a win over Sprayberry on Saturday. The 5'9" 2028 Point Guard walked away with 24p and got her buckets in a variety of ways. She attacked the paint often and made her attempts count with a high percentage around the rim. She also knocked down multiple 3's when given space & was a matchup nightmare for the opponent. If you get a chance to see the Marietta Girls, they're worth the price of admission.
2027 Conrad Ogden - Westminster: One of the more improved players in Georgia who shined in a win over cross-town rival Lovett on Saturday night. Finished the game with 23p 7r & showed off some high-level shooting from the outside the arc. Physical when getting to the rim and relentless rebounder. Ogden is beginning to look like one of the top 2027 prospects in the state as Westminster improves to 16-0 due to Ogden & his senior running mates Nico Searl & Zade Elshihabi.
Future College Stars:
Zyree Brown - Pebblebrook (Kennesaw State-commit):
Zyree Brown poured in 32 points in Pebblebrook’s win over Osborne, and the Kennesaw State commit put together a complete showing. He was a real problem in pick-and-roll action — manipulating coverages, hitting bigs on rolls, and finding shooters lifting into open pockets of space.
Brown’s defensive instincts opened the floor up, turning steals into breakaway layups and dunks for teammates, and he scored it from all three levels while getting wherever he wanted on the floor. I also love the way he elevates the play of everyone around him, and it’s clear he’s put in the work to build a strong, reliable frame that will help him in a physical Conference USA next year with KSU.
– Mekhi McKinney
Devin Hutcherson - Holy Innocents (Belmont-commit): In a competitive win over Lovett, Hutcherson recorded his 1500th point for his high school career. A remarkable accomplishment for any high school player. He attacked the offensive glass hard in the win and kept creating second chance opportunities for HIES. Lethal speed with his first step and gets to the rim in a hurry.
Tatum Holmes - John's Creek (North Georgia-commit):
Tatum Holmes led the way for Johns Creek, turning in a big-time performance with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and a block. The UNG commit did a little bit of everything on both ends, controlling the glass, finishing plays, and making winning reads throughout the night.
One of the most underrated players in Georgia, Holmes’ blend of size, strength, and skill makes him a valuable prospect and a matchup issue every time he steps on the floor. His steady production powered Johns Creek to a huge win over Milton.
– Mekhi McKinney
Nico Searl - Westminster (Emory-commit): High-level scoring Guard who hit shots at will in a win against Lovett. Deadly when attacking with his left, he got paint touch after paint touch for kickouts & mid-range jumpers. When open from 3, he hit at a high percentage to win a slugfest where both offenses were clicking. Committed to Emory, look for Searl to make an impact for one of the Top programs in the UAA & all of D3 basketball.
Senior Standouts:
Jayvon Rampersant - Berkmar: A ton of talent and super high ceiling for Rampersant. In a close loss to Parkview, Jayvon finished with 19p 10r and looked like a high-level prospect at the next level. At the rim, he uses his length to score over defenders but can score well at the mid-range & looked comfortable hitting 3's as well. Defensively, he alters a ton of shots with his wingspan & can just rise over opponents for rebounds. Rampersant projects in that Division 1 window & should be a guy collegiate programs take a look at out of Berkmar.
Justin Mallett - Kennesaw Mountain: Leader on both ends of the floor. Started the game with high-intensity, picking up the ball 94ft. Forced quite a few turnovers. Pushed the break in transition off of those turnovers creating opportunities for Kennesaw Mountain in their win over East Paulding. Most of his buckets came around the rim & from the FT line & finished with 17p 4s. Made game-sealing steal in the final moments.
McCord Purdy - Pickens:
McCord Purdy set the tone from the opening minutes. He played with a ton of confidence and a strong feel for the game, running the offense with pace and purpose. Purdy looked completely comfortable creating advantages, keeping teammates involved, and picking his spots as a scorer.
He knocked down six threes on his way to 19 points, shooting it with no hesitation and stretching the floor every time he touched it.
– Mekhi McKinney
Jonah Hess - East Paulding: Smooth looking jump-shot with solid form, reliable shot maker for East Paulding. In a tough loss to Kennesaw Mountain, Hess finished with 14p with the majority of those coming in the 4th quarter to keep East Paulding in the game. Active on the boards & made multiple hustle plays.
Nate McDaniel - Sprayberry: Scored in a variety of ways for Sprayberry in a win over Marietta. Gets to the rim and invites contact on drives but able to hit open 3's to space the floor. Offensive threat that must be accounted for each time he steps on the floor.
Evan Doherty - East Paulding: In recruiting, finding quality big men is always a challenge for collegiate programs and finding hidden gems are always welcomed. Evan Doherty up at East Paulding fits that billing. The 6'7" Forward is a bit of an unknown up at East Paulding but is a guy collegiate programs should be taking a look at who are trying to add size. Strong rebounder. Attacks the rim well with the ball & gets to the FT with his physicality. Showed ability to score from the midrange off a face-up. Sleeper in NW Metro Atlanta.
Adonis Brown - Berkmar: High-motor guard who finished with 17p 6r in a tight loss against Parkview. Attacks the rim well and gets to the free throw line often. Relentless rebounder who goes through contact to grab the ball at it's highest point. Unsigned senior who is worth a look with a talented Berkmar squad.
Abel Trotman - Sprayberry: Undersized point guard with a fluid handle and good decision making. Deceptive speed helping him get to the rim. Scored 7p of his game-high 18p in the 4th quarter to lead Sprayberry to a comeback win over Marietta. Sealed the game with a steal in the final moments to walk away with the W.
Junior Standouts:
Roman Avery - Mount Bethel:
Roman Avery was huge in the first half with 13 points and added 11 more in the second, finishing with five threes on the night. He scored efficiently and got downhill whenever he wanted.
Avery is a big guard with a knack for putting the ball in the basket. His size creates problems for smaller guards, and his burst makes him a matchup issue for bigger forwards. He’s another prospect in this week’s recap that will soon see a spike in his recruitment.
– Mekhi McKinney
Jason "JJ" Brown - Parkview: Jason "JJ" Brown was a force inside for Parkview in their win over Berkmar. Finishing with 17p 7r 2b, he used his physicality to bully defenders on his way to the rim. Made good decisions with the ball and found open teammates when doubled. Currently rated as a 4star football player but gets it done on the hardwood as well.
Solomon Bratton - Milton:
Solomon Bratton put together a monster performance for Milton and did everything he could to keep them in it. The versatile forward made his presence felt early, scoring inside and controlling the glass while making smart reads off the short roll to find open shooters and cutters.
He turned it up another level in the second half as Milton tried to mount a comeback, finishing with 22 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block. Bratton battled all night, imposed his will in the paint, and showed why he’s one of Milton’s most dependable producers — even though the effort wasn’t enough to close the gap.
– Mekhi McKinney
Cameron Cannon - Lovett: High-level scorer and has shown development as a Point Guard at the next level. Finished a battle with Westminster with 21p 4a with six 3's made. Through traffic or with a man in his face, Cannon consistently finds ways to get the ball in the bucket at one of the highest levels in GA. Has improved a ton with his playmaking and finds the open shooters around him off of paint touches.
Kyann Senior - Marietta: Great rebounder that creates extra opportunities for her Marietta team. Around the rim, she finishes well off put-backs & drives. Gets all her points with tough buckets & gives Marietta an added element on the inside.
Keaton Watkins - Fannin County:
Watkins was a solid force for Fannin in their road win over Pickens County on Saturday night. Fannin relied on Watkins for key buckets to stop runs and early in the game when they had to make a comeback from a deficit. He showed nice touch while bruising through smaller bigs with his solid frame.
– Mekhi McKinney
JT Scott - Mount Paran:
Scott had a big second half for Mount Paran as they battled it out with Mount Bethel on the road. The junior guard was a blur in transition and proved to be a tough cover with his quick first step. He knocked down a couple of tough jumpers to go along with his drives to the rim.
Scott is a reliable guard who gave Mount Paran a much-needed scoring punch when they needed it most.
– Mekhi McKinney
Daniel Gadsden - Lovett: High-flying Forward who makes a highlight reel every game with electrifying dunks at the rim. Great elevation on his shot from the mid-range & finishes best around the rim. High-level rebounder who can meet the ball at its highest point with his athleticism.
Chase Mohn - Berkmar: Physical defender that makes a ton of hustle plays over the course of a game. Mohn has a quick rip & first step while attacking the basket that gives him open lanes & space to make decisions. In a loss to Parkview, Mohn finished with 14p by attacking the basket and finishing well at the rim & FT line.
Anthony Moon Jr. - Pebblebrook:
Anthony Moon Jr. was equally impressive in Pebblebrook’s win, using his size, length, and mobility to cause all kinds of disruption. He anchored the top of the press, forced turnovers with his activity, and erased plays at the rim with his timing and athleticism.
Moon also did the little things that matter — setting firm screens, catching everything thrown his way, and finishing efficiently around the basket. I think he’s on track to be a major stock riser soon. His defensive versatility is a real commodity, and college coaches are going to be drawn to the way he can guard multiple spots and impact winning on both ends.
– Mekhi McKinney
Graham Titus - Kennesaw Mountain: Was a spark for Kennesaw Mountain finishing with 13p in a win over East Paulding. Great size for his position. Comfortable with the ball in his hands. Quick first step that he used to attack the rim where he got most of his buckets. Expect to hear more out of this 2027 over the next 12 months.
DJ Mitchell - Pickens:
DJ Mitchell matched that impact with another impressive outing. Mitchell scored 18 points and buried five threes, showing off a quick release and the ability to heat up in a hurry.
He was a constant threat drifting into space, relocating off drives, and scoring off movement. Confident, aggressive, and always ready to let it fly, Mitchell gave his team a reliable scoring punch.

Underclassmen Standouts:
2028 Shane Goines - Mount Paran:
Despite the loss, Shane Goines put together a strong showing with 22 points. He played with great pace off the bounce, attacking the basket, using his strength to draw contact, and getting to the free-throw line.
He also stepped out and knocked down a couple of threes to keep his group within striking distance. Goines is a skilled guard with good size, and he’s not afraid of big moments or tough matchups. He’s another player who looks poised to be a stock riser as we hit the spring and summer circuit.
– Mekhi McKinney
2029 Phillip Claybrooks - Lovett: Freshman who is establishing himself as one of the best in Georgia with big-time performances on stages against top opponents. Against defending state champion Holy Innocents, he finished with 15p 2a 2s & against 16-0 Westminster he had 21p 5a 6r. Point guard who rebounds the ball well and can score from multiple levels. Looks to be one of the top 2029's in GA.
2028 Merrick Ham - Marietta: Showed a lot of promise in a tight loss to Sprayberry. The 6'5" Forward used his size and physicality to get to the rim at will. He also showed an ability to space the floor with a Catch&shoot 3 with form that looked clean. He finished the game with 9p 4r - name to look for moving forward.
2028 Abu Jallow - Kennesaw Mountain: High-ceiling player with a high-usage rate. Brought the ball up the court for Kennesaw Mountain and initiated the offense. Played with poise against pressure where East Paulding kept sending different pressures his way. Looks for his opportunities and finishes above the rim. Showed off his athleticism in the win. One of the top underclassmen prospects in Georgia.
2029 Zoe Williams - Marietta: Freshman PG who has been entrusted in running a lot of the offense for the Lady Blue Devils. Great facilitator who finds teammates in open & favorable positions for them to score. Look for her stock to continue rising with this young Marietta group that has a ton of underclassmen prospects.
2028 Malik Jordan - East Paulding: Ball dominant Point guard, controlled the offense for the Raiders. Finished with 11p 4a in a tight loss to Kennesaw Mountain. Showed the potential to score at multiple levels, got to the FT line often by attacking the rim but showed an ability to space the floor by hitting two 3pt FG's. 2028 we'll keep an eye on moving forward.
2028 Braylon Whitfield - Marietta: Finished with 10p in a narrow loss to Sprayberry. Showcased a quality jumper multiple times throughout the matchup. Was able to create separation off the dribble. Confident scorer with good IQ. 2028 to watch for moving forward.
