HoopSeen Weekly Report 12.15.25

It's Holiday season in the Peach State with a ton of good basketball going on around Georgia. Our team was able to catch over 20 games this week & a lot of strong impressions have been made. First off, high-level talent in GA is as good as anywhere else in the country on both the boys & girls side. Clemson-commit Harris Reynolds is a sight to see while top girls prospects UNC-commit Kate Harpring of Marist & UGA-commit Alanna Beckham of Hebron are making their presence felt on a nightly basis. The 2029 class in Georgia is also starting to look like one of the best classes we've seen in a while. Tons of high-level players across the state making immediate impacts at the varsity level. Our team caught the following girls games this past week; Hebron v Cherokee Bluff, Marist v St.Pius X, Newton v Alcovy, Oconee County v Apalachee, Athens Academy v Prince Avenue, Jefferson v Cedar Shoals. On the boys side we caught the following games; Meadowcreek v Norcross, Alpharetta v Denmark, Cherokee Bluff v Lovett, St. Pius X v Marist, Woodstock v Sprayberry, Langston Hughes v Dutchtown, Newton v Alcovy, Discovery v Midtown, Middle Ga Prep v Next Level Prep, Lovett v South Gwinnett, Drew Charter v Cristo Rey, Osborne v Mount Bethel, Redan v Lithonia, Apalachee v Oconee County, Athens Academy v Prince Avenue, & Cedar Shoals v Jefferson. In total 22 games were evaluated by our team & we're excited to keep providing coverage of Georgia HS basketball this season.

2026 Harris Reynolds - St. Pius X (Clemson-commit): In an electrifying environment against bitter-rival Marist, Clemson-commit Harris Reynolds lived up to the billing. He was explosive, played well naturally and let the game come to him. Made the right basketball while still asserting himself on driving to the rim & getting to the foul line. Harris finished with 29 points & walked away with the W after being heckled for 32 minutes. St. Pius is on a roll behind Reynolds & ranked #4 in 4A while currently sitting at 8-0.

The future North Carolina Tar Heel dominated rival St. Pius behind her 29p on Friday & followed that up with 38p 10r against North Oconee on Saturday. 2028 Jahmar Maurice - Woodstock: It was the Jahmar Maurice show in Woodstock’s win over Sprayberry on Friday night. Maurice exploded for a game-high 38 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. He’s a gifted scorer who creates for himself at all three levels, but he’s just as effective working off the catch, coming off pin-downs, and finding soft spots in the defense. He understands the game at a different level, consistently making defenders pay by drawing contact and living at the free-throw line. His poise is well beyond his years, and he continues to prove why he’s one of the top guards in Georgia’s 2028 class. - Mekhi Mckinney

The 6'2" West Georgia-commit is regarded as the #1 Center in Georgia for the Class of 2026 and she showed off a skillset that will serve her well. Defensively, she was a force inside blocking shots and grabbing rebounds. She also moved well and was able to snag a few steals for her team to push in transition. On offense, she finished well at the rim and was active on the offensive glass. High-level player who looks to compete for minutes immediately at West Georgia in the A-Sun.

2026 Toby Howard - Middle Georgia Prep: Middle Georgia Prep forward Toby Howard checked every box you’d want in a Division I big in MGP’s win over Next Level Academy. The 6’9 forward filled the stat sheet with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists while playing with a contagious motor. MGP ran plenty of offense through him, whether it was early actions, dribble handoffs, or touches on the block. Howard looks like an instant-impact player for the right program next year, and he brings leadership qualities that can either establish a culture or elevate an already strong one.
