Tuesday Night Hoops Recap in Georgia 11.11.25
Basketball season is officially here in Georgia and a ton of good games were on the schedule for tonight. Here's a few that our team were at and other big games across the state.
(GIRLS) Rabun County 73, Seckinger 51
Being so far out of the Atlanta metro, many schools are often forgotten but Rabun County put together performances on both the boys and girls side that make the drive up to Tiger a necessity for any college coach looking for talent.
The Rabun girls were led by 2027 Adelyn Thompson with 19p (5 3pt FG) & 2029 Millie Southards with 18p (3 3pt FG). Southards is a 2029 whose name should be known around recruiting circles across the southeast. A physical point guard who is great at initiating the offense and handling pressure. Couldn't get sped up and played at a pace that was impressive to watch as a freshman. Has all the tools of a player who will become a high priority recruit over the next few years. The 2027 Thompson led the scoring charge and was automatic from 3. This duo looks to be deadly in a North Georgia Single-A region that contains a lot of the talent in that classification.
Seckinger kept fighting throughout the game but couldn't get over the hump and stayed 15-20 points behind Rabun for the entirety of the 2nd half. 2026 Nalani Gainey was impressive in the loss who led the Jaguars with 22p.
(BOYS) Rabun County 68, Seckinger 44
Between the senior duo of Huey Blalock & Hayes Free and now with the addition of the freshman duo of Trace Adcock & Cord Burrell, Rabun County boys look like a state title favorite in Single-A.
Huey Blalock took over this game from the jump with his control of the offense and decision making. He continuously found the big-man Free on backdoor cuts, pick & rolls and continuously put him in situations to be successful. Blalock is a PG that any player who would love to play alongside. Navy offered the PG this fall and after his performance tonight, the drive up to Rabun County High School might be worth it for other D1 programs. He finished with 21p & 10a.
We saw 6'7" Hayes Free this summer on the HoopSeen circuit with the Atlanta Timberwolves but the duo between him and Blalock in HS ball is deadly. Free showed such great activity and finished with a statline of 22p, 10r, 5s, & 3b. With a shortage of quality bigs, Free is a must-see prospect for quality D3 schools & D2 programs. Moved really well without the ball, tough on the defensive glass, and also showed an ability to handle the rock on a coast-to-coast layup where he displayed his comfort handling the ball. Coaches, do your homework on this guy.
(GIRLS) Archer 54, Mill Creek 46
In a losing effort, Senior PG Danica Taylor really stood out for Mill Creek. With Bella Ragone done for the year, a lot of the offense has been put on Taylor's shoulders moving forward. Danica finished with 11p, 7a, 5r, & 2s in the game. A 2026 PG that college coaches should have on their radar who are looking for a High School PG late in the recruiting cycle.
(BOYS) Berkmar 73, Winder-Barrow 68
In a battle of 2 teams highly regarded going into the season, Berkmar comes out on top led by 2026 Jayvon Rampersant. The 6'9" F finished with 23p & 15r. Winder-Barrow was led by Furman-commit Jerrin Samuel who finished with 36p, 13r, 4a, 4s.
(GIRLS) Lakeside-Dekalb 78, Riverwood 34
The "WOW" statline of the night goes to 2027 Gabriella Benjamin who finished the night with a spectacular line of 48p, 20r, & 9b in a win over Riverwood.
(BOYS) Dacula 76, Brookwood 74
Dacula wins a close one against Brookwood behind 2028 Case Presley's 30p, 6r, 3a performance to improve to 2-0. 2029 Dorian Douglas added 20p for the young Falcons group.
(BOYS) Decatur 84, Paideia 45
Decatur was dominant in a win over one of the top Private School programs in GA, Paideia. 2026 Unsigned Senior Jason Welborn led the way with 18p, 7a, 4r. Welborn was MVP of our Fall Preview and has proven on multiple stages that he's a winner. Coaches, look into this kid. Ballplayer.
(BOYS) St. Pius 78, Midtown 58
Clemson-commit Harris Reynolds showed that he is ready for the ACC in a 35p performance in a win over Midtown. D'Marley Elliot, Thomas Rogers, & Max Etienne all added 11p each for St. Pius.
Darrion Hadley of Midtown added 29p for the Knights in a losing effort.
(BOYS) Lanier 70, Hebron 66
Big bounce-back win for Lanier as they take down a Hebron Christian team riding a wave of momentum. 2027 Guard EJ Hines led the way for the Longhorns with 16p.
Great Tuesday night of hoops in Georgia. Looking forward to a great season.
