Fall League Notes (Week 4)

Four weeks in, the HoopSeen Fall League continues to deliver physical, competitive matchups at Suwannee Sports Academy. Last week was no different, as a handful of prospects left strong impressions worth noting:

Bethlehem Christian Academy vs Georgia Force Christian

2026 Malachi Mays of Bethlehem Christian Academy is a tenacious defender who spent most of the game matched up with the opponent’s top scorer. Mays impacts the game with and without the ball in hands, knocking down spot-up threes, and attacking the rim in transition. Decent dribble-drive game that helps him penetrate the defense and create for others. His toughness and feel makes him a prospect worth tracking moving forward.

Rite Academy vs East Forsyth

Tyler Lesch

In last week’s Fall Notes, I highlighted Hudson Huff’s impressive shooting display for Franklin County, where he knocked down eight threes in a loss to Cherokee Bluff. This week, it was 2026 Tyler Lesch’s turn to catch fire, drilling eight triples of his own in a standout performance for East Forsyth. Lesch finished with 29 points on hyper-efficient shooting, missing only four attempts from deep. Lesch’s hot hand was a major factor that helped secure the dub for East Forsyth against a talented Rite Academy.

George Walton v Wesleyan

Jaylen Alston-Taylor

2026 Jayden Alston Taylor continues to progress and impress. As a team, George Walton did not have the best all-around performance last night, but Jayden stood out with his instincts on and off the ball, and consistently outworking his matchup. He utilizes his broad frame to defend on the perimeter, and while not a pure point guard, showed the ability to consistently make the right reads for his teammates.

Flowery Branch v South Forsyth

Remington Akins

2027 Remington Akins is settling into his role and emerging as a reliable contributor for Flowery Branch. Akins made his presence felt on both ends, hustling for extra possessions by diving for loose balls and crashing the glass. Akins plays within himself, knows his role, and adds value as a floor spacer. His continued growth will be worth tracking.
