2025 NextGen Preview All-Camp Team
After a great day of hoops at the NextGen Preview, our HoopSeen staff sat down to discuss top players from the event and after much deliberation an MVP of Aiden Goode & a 1st Team of Mymphis Dixon, Aiden Mitchell, Sawyer Finley, Kennedi Robinson, & Corey Wallace were selected. See below on notes from our staff on these 5 guys:
COREY WALLACE
"Wallace won over the coaches with his approach to the game. Immediately people are able to notice how focused this kid is. He is extremely coachable and is a player that gets involved in each play that is made. The combo guard filled up the stat sheet all day while leading his team to a championship finish. He flashed moments of high level passing and defending while still being able to knock down jump shots and finish consistently at the rim." - D’Marcus Simonds
KENNEDI ROBINSON
"One of the most polished players in attendance. He changes speeds effectively, creates space with ease, and has a natural scoring ability at all three levels. Whether getting downhill, pulling up in the midrange, or hitting threes, he consistently found ways to put points on the board. His skill set and poise make him a tough cover, and his trajectory suggests he’ll be a name to track over the next couple of years." - Mekhi Mckinney
SAWYER FINLEY
"Finley is a lanky athlete who commands his own space in the lane with wide elbows and arms that seem to reach the ceiling. He operates from his good basketball IQ primarily. When he catches the ball high, smaller defenders are at his mercy as he has developed the skill of keeping the ball high through his finish. Whether with his left or right hand, Finley will attack from seventeen feet without fear. On the defensive end, I loved watching him switch onto perimeter players without hesitation and a bit of success. He makes good reads and has solid vision." - AJ Cheeseman
AIDEN MITCHELL
"By the time Aiden walked into the gym, stretched, and eventually finished the skill work drills, I had him pegged as raw, wide-body wing, maybe a small ball four if needed. But as the gym cleared and I began summarizing each athlete, Mitchell was the player I was most excited to write about. Let’s be clear, he is a combo guard. And furthermore, he was one of the most impressive at the event. With great size for a guard, a natural feel for competition, and a toughness that mirrors his Hinesville roots, Mitchell physically imposes his will on his defender. He bounces off of opponents in a bowling ball manner on the way to the rim. Away from the basket, he is graceful and calm. He knows where all other nine players are at all times and it’s obvious with his constant passing prowess. What’s even better is that Mitchell seems to like defense. With more polishing, and the development of his left hand finsihing, the Liberty County native (who shares a city and last name with former Baylor guard Davion Mitchell) would mirror former Pebblebrook standout Ty Hudson. I am excited to see where the game of basketball takes him." - AJ Cheeseman
MYMPHIS DIXON
"A long, wiry wing with impressive ball skills for his size. He can put the ball on the floor, take defenders off the dribble, and finish through contact at the rim. Plays with great effort on both ends and brings energy every possession. His blend of size, skill, and motor makes him one of the more intriguing wings in the group." - Mekhi Mckinney
