2025 Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champion 16U: Top Overall Performers, Part II

SUWANEE, GA - The Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions is one of the most storied, prestigious platforms in the travel basketball world. Shoe-sponsored teams and independents meet and battle through the weekend until champs are crowned.

Along the way, the best players separate themselves. The known add to their resume while under-the-radar names emerge on the big stage. To stand out, to be a top guy is different at Gibbons.

We have so much to get into from the weekend, and it all starts with part II of the top overall performers from the 16U division.

Lincoln Vinson, Team Thad - Part two of the tandem for Team Thad, Vinson is a guy that will play at the next level. The athletically built guard is vocal and has a great feel for the game. He can score in a variety of ways from all over the floor. He has toughness and can do a lot with the ball in his hands.

I saw Vinson last year on Davidson Day. He really turned it up a notch as a sophomore when (UNC commitment) Isaiah Denis went down with injury in the game. He caught my eye then with his game and he did the same this past weekend with Team Thad. Head Coach Michael Wright speaks highly of Vinson and when you see him and his style of play, you understand instantly why. He is going to be one to track over the next two seasons. - Justin Byerly

Judah King, Top Shot - A 29-point outing against a perennial independent powerhouse like the Atlanta All-Stars to advance to the semi-finals of the prestigious Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions is what it takes to be a top performer. King did that on Saturday afternoon. He ended with games of 13, 10, 29 and 19 points for the weekend.

He has recently re-classed to the 2027 class and is attending Ambassador Christian Academy in North Carolina.  What really set him apart to me was his ability to get downhill and get into the lane. He was either finishing at the basket or making the dish. The 6-foot-2 guard has some game. - Justin Byerly

Jojo Foster, Redline Basketball Club - It has been a joy to watch JoJo Foster over the last couple of years with Redline Basketball Club. Foster was outstanding this weekend, leading his team to a 2-1 record here at Gibbons. It’s not just about scoring with him—though he can definitely put the ball in the basket.

His defensive intensity, high IQ, and decision-making are what truly elevate this Redline group. He sets the tone on both ends of the floor, and that’s what makes him stand out. - Mekhi McKinney

Santana Henderson, Team Gold Coast Elite 16u- Santana Henderson put up 19- and 21-point performances here at Gibbons while playing up in the 17U division this weekend. The silky-smooth guard wasn’t shy of the big stage, scoring at all three levels.

Henderson has a quick first step that gets him to the rim, and his athleticism takes over from there. - Mekhi Mckinney

Holden Verlander, Dunwoody United Basketball - Verlander had a solid weekend here at Gibbons for DUB. He showed promise with his versatility and ability to score from multiple levels. Verlander made plays as a secondary ball handler, and with his skill set, he has the tools to develop into a strong prospect as he continues to grow and build confidence. -  Mekhi Mckinney
