*This poll edition reflects games up to 1/5/2025*

We’ve officially turned the calendar to 2025, but there was plenty of holiday event action across the state. With that being said, the state basketball coaches have gone through the action and have updated the Boys’ Coaches Poll presented by AABC x HoopSeen.

As expected, there was plenty of movement in this edition of the poll. Buckhorn (6A), Section (2A) and Spring Garden (1A) have made their moves to No. 1 in their respective classes while Hoover, Ramsay, Fairfield, and Midfield hold firm with their positions.

With many programs participating in area play over the next few weeks we’re bound to see some intriguing matchups and eyebrow raisers across the state. We’ll update the coaches poll a couple of times in January before area tournaments kick off, so stay tuned for more rankings throughout the month!
