HoopSeen Elite Preview: Top Performers Part II

The 2024 version of the Elite Preview camp is officially in the books and this year’s group came on strong on Sunday at Suwanee Sports Academy. With some high-level talent and depth, there’s a lot to digest from the action.

Following the event, we polled our coaches and staff on their top performers from the day. Meet the second wave of top performers from the event…

Barnes was shot out of a cannon from the very start of the Elite Preview. The wiry guard started game play off setting his teammates up with several nice passes. As the day progressed so did Barnes' game. He displayed the ability to get to any spot he wanted on the floor. When he got to his mid-range pull up, he knocked it down and when he got to the rim, he was a crafty finisher. Look for a big season at Discovery for this 2027 Point Guard.

The 2027 Shooting Guard from Mount Paran was the most effortless scorer at the camp and had the best shooting day of anybody. When he got rolling, points came in bunches. His quick release makes any amount of room, too much room for him on the perimeter. It got to the point later in the day where any shot he took was expected to go in, no matter the distance, and most did. He also showed an ability to punish an overplay by blowing by the defender and finished with a nice touch around the basket.

Bruno played with more effort than any player at the Elite Preview. He caught the eye of coaches early because of his relentless energy. His energy led to countless rebounds and easy put backs. With each minute, Marciano proved that he is more than an energetic player. He was also one of the more well-rounded players at the camp showing the ability to handle, pass and defend at a high level as well.

Elyon Graham

Elyon was the most intriguing prospect at the camp. The super long Notre Dame Academy guard instantly proved he knew how to use his length, streaking to the basket for multiple nice finishes above the defense and causing deflections on the other end. His handle is great for a player of his size, and he had a handful of gorgeous passes that led to easy scores. Graham is a player we expect to hear a ton about in the next couple years in Georgia.

McClenton caught our eye during drills. While you can see players sleepwalk through this portion, that was not the case for Isaiah. He was energetic and engaging with all of the coaches and his teammates at every station, which continued into game play. Isaiah is a smooth scorer and showed he can knock down shots in bunches when he gets rolling.
