Zach Bleshoy chooses UT-Chattanooga
Chattanooga wrapped up a productive Labor Day weekend on the recruiting trail with a commitment from 2025 Marietta (GA) Pope guard Zach Bleshoy.
“Chattanooga is a great spot for me,” Bleshoy told HoopSeen.com following his commitment. “It’s a great school and the opportunity to play early in the SoCon is big time.”
This is also a ‘big time’ snag for head coach Dan Earl and the Mocs. In fact, I think it’s a perfect match for both programs involved. I talked in-depth about it in last week’s Fastbreak Friday as Bleshoy was the mid-major visitor of the week. Simply put, Chattanooga — one of the fastest playing teams in the country that loves shooting three-pointers — is getting a guy that can light things up from behind the arc.
”It’s an excellent fit for me. The style of play was a big reason why I chose Chattanooga. I fit their style of play really well,” he said.
Chattanooga beat out some impressive programs vying for Bleshoy’s commitment. The 6-foot-4 guard chose the Mocs over scholarship offers from Tulane, Murray State, Towson, and Southern Illinois.
Bleshoy joins an impressive three-man group up to this point for Chattanooga. The Georgia native joined Lakeland (FL) Santa Fe Catholic guard Tate Darner, who announced his pledge just a day before, and Huntsville (AL) big man Josh Bowman.
