Kobe Edwards Becoming National Name
Greenfield School in Wilson, North Carolina has been a powerhouse for as long as I can remember. This is my 15th season covering hoops. So for a while. They have produced a number of state championships. They have produced a number of high-level college players. Let's talk about the guy that is making a name for himself nationally, now.
Playing with Boo Williams on the Nike EYBL circuit in the 16-and-under division, 2026 guard prospect Kobe Edwards had a weekend in Indianapolis. The 6-foot-2 point guard averaged 17 points, 5.25 rebounds and 1.75 assists on the weekend with Boo Williams going a combined 3-1 (according to Nike EYBL). Edwards is already becoming a national name with his play through three sessions of the EYBL. His athleticism in the open floor, his ability to score from all spots on the floor and what he can do defensively stand out the most for me right now. His scoring has been on display more on the EYBL circuit and that is something that college coaches want to see. He still manages to dish out nearly two assists per game during the past session along with impressive rebounding numbers for his position at over 5 rebounds per.
There is a long list of North Carolina guards from this part of the state. For as long as I can remember eastern North Carolina have been producing dudes and K3 is the next dude out of North Carolina.
