Georgia Cup Finals Top Performers: 2025 prospects Part II
SUWANEE, GA - The Georgia Cup Finals brought out some familiar faces and introduced us to some new ones. Let’s dive into some of the top performers from the action over the weekend.
RELATED: Part I
This OTP NXT 17U backcourt is deep, and Jaydon Cole was the perfect addition to it this AAU season. This is my second time seeing Cole, and it seems like no matter where he's playing, his teams tend to win. Cole brings an elite level of shooting, toughness on defense, and high IQ to every game. His ability to play on and off the ball allows OTP’s offense to flow smoothly, no matter who's in the game with him. The King's Ridge guard is a special one. - Mekhi Mckinney
Mekhi Lloyd was a fun watch this weekend, and not just because we share a name. Lloyd has a big frame that he uses to get to the rim at will. He has a combination of strength, speed, and skill that coaches would love at the next level. He scored 15 and 17 points in the games I caught, but the scoring was just a small part of what stood out. You just know he loves to compete when you watch how hard he plays. - Mekhi Mckinney
Jasiah Devone was one of my favorite players to watch this weekend. Devone is an attack first guard who is always looking to get a bucket. He will go up with anyone who is standing in his way in the paint and is able to to change angles mid air making it impossible to block his shot. His offensive skill set didn’t end there he has a pure stroke and will also knock down the three. Devone is very athletic and he plays it to his advantage. He uses his quickness to lock up opponents and long arms to swipe balls away and run on fastbreaks. - Mekhi Mckinney
I saw Orndoff play a few times this weekend and he was by far one of the most consistent players I watched. Ordoff is a quick elusive guard that can break you down outside the arc and finesse his way for an easy layup. He also has a pure stroke and is able to torch opponents from the outside. His iq and passing ability goes hand in hand as he is able to make tough passes look effortless getting his teammates open shots. - Zack Cepress
