Georgia Cup Finals Top Performers: 2025 prospects
SUWANEE, GA - The Georgia Cup Finals brought out some familiar faces and introduced us to some new ones. Let’s dive into some of the top performers from the action over the weekend.
This weekend was my first impression of Collin Ross and I must say he was very impressive. Ross's length, at 6'10", and his ability to be mobile on both ends of the floor are what make him special. He has a knack for the ball, whether it’s rebounding on both ends or blocking and contesting shots. On the offensive end, he's looking to dunk everything, and he started off OTP NXT 17u's second game with three straight rim-rocking dunks. Ross was definitely my favorite player to watch this weekend. - Mekhi Mckinney
Ty Sanders has been excellent here at the Georgia Cup Finals. His passion and leadership has been unmatched throughout the weekend. He exudes energy and it rubs off onto his teammates making them a very competitive team. Sanders does a little bit of everything on the court, he is able to score at all 3 levels at a high rate and consistently. Sanders is a very fun player to watch and college coaches should take notice. -Zack Cepress
Chris Mclavish has shown expert basketball IQ all weekend as well as high level scoring at all levels. There are no outstanding flaws in his game and it is very noticeable that he is comfortable in any situation he is in whether it’s a close game or their up by 20. His shot making and shot selection is on another level and despite his size he is able to get a shot from anywhere he wants due to his quick release. Although Team Scoot came up short in the 17u quarterfinals Mclavish had a remarkable performance and dropped 32 points on 4 threes.-Zack Cepress
Daniel Daramola has showcased an exceptional post game this weekend. From grabbing rebounds to backing down defenders in the paint he does it all. Standing at 6’10 with a huge wingspan and absurd athleticism you can almost guarantee any guard or forward trying him at the rim is going to get blocked. The ceiling is very high for Daramola and i’m excited to see his full potential. -Zack Cepress
