Ohio Basketball Grassroots Showcase 2026 Top Perfomers
Via Ohio Basketball's Carley Whitney
LOUISVILLE, KY – The annual spring stage of the Grassroots Showcase was once again loaded with teams, prospects and storylines. With states from all over the country and Canada represented, there were plenty of notes to go through.
Our partners at Ohio Basketball caught the action and roll out some of their top performers from the action at the Grassroots Showcase.
Let’s take a look at our top overall performers from the action, starting with the 16U age group:
Cole McClurg, 2026, NWO Basketball Club
Crafty guard, who can get downhill and to the rim. His ability to stop quickly and rise up makes him a hard matchup for smaller guards. He's had a knack for the ball and isn't afraid to get on the floor. Also showed the ability to hit shots from the outside. Has great court vision in transition.
Doron Harris, 2026, Indiana Elite Feed
Quick, athletic PG who has a variety of ways to score in his bag. He can break you down and get to the rim, where he has phenomenal body control and can finish. He can shoot from the outside, he can also create for others with his ability to attack. But his game doesn't stop on the offensive end. He is a great perimeter defender, who uses his athleticism to create havoc on the ball. Has a great motor.
Taurus Minor, 2026, Indiana Elite Feed
He kinda looks like Giannis, and he kinda plays like him too! His length is such a weapon! He uses it to perfection on his attacks to the rim, whether he is elevating over a shot blocker, or using that long wingspan to extend away from a defender at the rim. He defends at a high level, he is a nightmare at the top of the press, but he also never gives up a play and gets a lot of deflections off hustle plays. He turns turnovers into points, or jams, very quickly!
Justin Harrelson, 2026, Hopson Elite
You put long, energetic and scrappy together and you have Justin! He is very active on defense, moves his feet, quick hands and good awareness. He is long and athletic enough to defend on the perimeter, and he’s big and stout enough to patrol the paint. He is really patient in the post and showed off some nice up and under’s and a really nice hook with both hands. Comfortable playing in the PNR, and showed nice touch on his jumper, which could become another facet of his game.
