2023 Elite Preview: Team 6 Evaluations
SUWANEE, Ga.—Our Elite Preview full team evaluations comes to a close with a look at a talented team six group.
Howson is a strong guard. He can body up defenders and handle contact well. Howson also has a high IQ and knows how to play. That was what stood out the most from him on Sunday. His decision making was fantastic.
Bockman can be one of the names that builds some buzz in time. He can continue to develop in the coming years. He’s a 2026 guard with a good work ethic, and his coach mentioned that he took instruction and coaching well throughout the day.

Dopfer was easily one of the best players of the day. He got better as the day went on and showed a complete game for this level. He’s skilled with a good perimeter frame. Dopfer can do all of the things that an off-ball guard/wing needs to do. He’s smart, he can make plays, he moves well off the ball, and he can shoot the ball well. He checks a lot of boxes on offense. His ability to play above the rim has come a long way, and he’s not afraid of being assertive and putting people in the rim. He’ll have a big winter during the high school season.
Searl has a good foundational skill set. He’s very fundamental and clearly spends a lot of time training. He has a high IQ and can shoot it well. Once some more fluidity comes, he can take a level up. He showed some nice moments with the ball as a creator.

There were several great forwards, bigs in attendance on Sunday. An interesting one of the bunch was 2027 Jason Hill. He’s a big-bodied forward who had flashes of bigger and better things to come. He moved well in the open floor and operated around the basket. Just jot his name down for the future. He has a chance to develop nicely.
