2023 Elite Preview: Team 4 Evaluations
SUWANEE, Ga.—The Elite Preview is behind us, but the coverage is still coming strong. We had so much talent in the gym on Sunday, and we’re running through each team’s line up with individual evaluations.
Next on our journey is team four.
Goodlow was tabbed as one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
Harrison was one of the players we had seen some in the past. Over the spring and summer, he impressed with his shotmaking. On Sunday, his leadership and communication shined through. Elsewhere in the intangibles department, Harrison showed that he’s tough as nails and has an alpha dog mentality. He was one of the hardest competitors in attendance.
Strozier is a quick guard with the ability to go into microwave mode as a scorer. When he’s operating at his best, he can get to where he needs to go with the ball and put points on the board in a hurry.
We’ve seen Robich come up through our NextGen preview camps, and now that he’s in the right age group, he was a no-brainer for an invite to the Elite Preview. He proved us right with a good afternoon against high-level competition. Robich is so skilled with the ball. He’s crafty and uses shot fakes and speed changes to keep defenders guessing. His feel for the game and passing make him a great PG, but his ability to make shots and put points on the board separate him from a lot of other players. Robich was one of the best shooters of the day by far.
Roberts was one of the most interesting long-term prospects of the day. He checks a lot of boxes. Roberts has a long, lanky frame, and he showed that he can shoot it from mid-range to the 3-point line. He got down hill and made plays happen from the wing off the bounce too. Roberts was a mismatch issue all afternoon.
Heerin had bright flashes on both ends of the floor. He impacted games defensively by clogging up passing lanes. Offense is where he probably shined the most, however. Heerin made some tough, contested finishes at the rim, and he shot the ball well in stretches. His motor was also a highlight.
Puckett was tabbed as one of the camp’s top performers. You can read more about him here.
Smith’s coach applauded his coachability above all else. Smith was a guy that got better as the day went on. He can hit shots when open and looks like a guy that can take steps forward in the coming years.
