GATA Academy Elite win the 17U Gold 2 Championship of the Grassroots Basketball Finale

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - GATA Academy Elite beat The Miami Blue Rays 62-46 to claim the 17u Gold 2 championship at the Grassroots Basketball Finale on Sunday afternoon. 

Kolier Pruett led the way with 24 points for GATA Academy Elite on the big stage. Pruett went unconscious from outside the arc knocking down 6 threes. He had help from the big man down low Reece Keaton who added 17 points and had excellent rim protection.

The Miami Blue Rays are a high-energy team and fought until the last whistle. At one point it looked like they were going to come all the way back, but their scrappiness and toughness were no match for the efficient play that GATA Academy showcased.
