Nova Cavs claim 16U Gold title at the Grassroots Basketball Finale

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - The Nova Cavs beat Wellington Wolves Glenn 54-47 to claim the 16u Gold championship at the Grassroots Basketball Finale on Sunday afternoon. 

Cam Yingling led the way with 13 points for the Nova Cavs on the big stage. He had help from Theo Burke and Noah Baker who both finished with 11 points. 

For the Wellington Wolves, Camden Fearon scored a team-high 16 points and had help from Christopher Varner who had all his 10 points in the 2nd half.

The Nova Cavs played as a well-orchestrated team. I could tell they had chemistry whether it was in the huddle or on the court, which ultimately led to them having the upper hand. I found out after that half of their team plays for the same High School.
