Ace Bailey picks the Scarlet Knights
On Sunday evening, Ace Bailey committed to Steve Pikiell and Rutgers. The five-star forward picked the Scarlet Knights over Auburn and Kentucky among others.
Bailey is the top ranked player in Georgia and a top-10 player nationally for the 2024 class.
The McEachern star has one of the highest upsides in the class. At 6-foot-9, he plays a versatile game. He has the skillset of a wing, but he also impacts the game at the rim as a defender and rebounder. He epitomizes the modern game.
Bailey is talented enough to take over the No. 1 spot in the class at some point down the line. As it currently stands, he is the highest ranked player to commit to Rutgers.
He joins McEachern and AOT teammate JaMichael Davis who is a member of Rutgers' 2023 class. In the 2024 group, Bailey is joined by Dellquan Warren.
For those keeping track from a Georgia perspective, Bailey is the fifth member of the state's 2024 class to commit to a high major program. Peyton Marshall (Auburn), Jeremiah Wilkinson (Mississippi State), Christian Anderson (Michigan), and Karris Bilal (Vanderbilt) make up the others.
