Updating our Tennessee 2020 and 2021 rankings

The end of the summer saw some changes to the rankings mostly from the departure aspect as several guys moved states and schools giving the rankings a different look from the last time we updated them.

It will be very interesting to see who steps up and makes the largest leap in the Class of 2020.

Most of our movement came in the vaunted Class of 2021 where several players saw themselves move several spots with their sterling play during the month of July.

Mason Miller (Houston/pictured above) was outstanding as the month of July came to a close with his massive effort at the inaugural BCAT Top 100 and continued this effort throughout the final month of summer campaign. A sleek lefty, he has an outstanding feel for the game and is still growing his game. Once he adds some upper body strength to his frame, he could be one of the most dyanmic wing forwards in the nation.

Jalen Macon (Hillsboro) was arguably the most impressive player at the BCAT Top 100 scholastic showcase in early July. A smooth 6'6 combo he has the ability to score at each and every level, his improved outside game only adds to his abundant leap.

Patrick Smith (Goodpasture) is one to watch for the next couple of high school campaigns. A slight built but fantastic leader, Smith made every moment count during the July period. One of the showcase players at my Tennessee Prep Hoops Best in State event, where he led his squad to a 3-0 finish to an outstanding remainder of the month. This kid is a winner and a real heady old school lead guard.
