Introducing the HoopSeen Class of 2019 National rankings
The travel season is in the books and our view of the class of 2019 has been an exhaustive one. We wanted to take our time and get a great feel for the class before we rolled out our rankings. There was a lot to see in person and on film.
Without further adieu, check out our top 50 players nationally from the class of 2019.
CLASS OF 2019 NATIONAL RANKINGS
LET THE DEBATE BEGIN
Who is the top player in the class of 2019? That was the conversation that rumbled around every gym HoopSeen was in this summer. The opinions varied, depending on who you spoke to. However, there were four players that seemed to always enter the dialogue - Vernon Carey, Jr., James Wiseman, Cole Anthony and Jaden McDaniels.
We’re not sure there is a wrong answer this year (at least not yet). And that’s perfectly fine by us.
MEET THE QUARTET
As of right now, Carey still sits on top of our class of 2019 player rankings. He’s such a dominant force at this level. A throwback, yes, and his game may still need some fine tuning with regards to the next level.
With Wiseman, the sky is the limit. More times than not, he’s going to win the “Just wait and see him in five years” discussion. Wiseman is the center of one of the best recruiting storylines in the class. Will he go to Memphis or Kentucky?
Cole Anthony is one of the most electric scorers in amateur basketball across the globe. His first step is nasty and the New Yorker is as entertaining as a player there is in the class of 2019.
McDaniel has made the biggest jump of any of the prospects in the class of 2019 from prospect to elite level potential guy. The Federal Way (WA) forward has made the move into the eyes of NBA scouts and could be one of the real prize prospects at the next two levels.
So, who’s best? Who knows, really. But, for now, our top four is laid out as we head into the high school season this fall and winter.
