Rechsteiner Updates Recruitment, Reels in High Major Offers
Over the last year or so, Etowah High School and Atlanta Allstars guard Brandon Rechsteiner has seen a steady rise in his recruitment. He’s started to garner looks from high major programs across multiple conferences as well as some general buzz nationally.
After speaking with HoopSeen during this past weekend's GBCA camp, he added offers from Kanas State, Wichita State, Georgia Tech, Northwestern and Dayton to his expansive list ranging from mid-major powers like Belmont to Xavier, the first power program to offer Rechsteiner.
UGA, Virginia and Virginia Tech are among the other high major programs that have been reaching out.
“I feel like it’s just all in the work,” Rechsteiner said about the recent uptick in his recruitment. “It’s nothing different….I always felt like I could play high major.”
When talking with media about potential visits Rechsteiner said,
“Xavier, I’m definitely going to go on a visit up there as soon as possible. The program’s just great. Virginia Tech…and then, whoever else wants to get involved.”
After receiving a wave of new offers, Rechsteiner has no shortage of places to visit as the summer winds down. When on visits or during the recruiting process, there are a few criteria that can separate a school from the rest of the pack in Rechsteiner’s eyes.
“Me, I want to play professionally, so I need a coach that’s going to push me to get there,” Rechsteiner said. “...Intense practices and players that all like to work hard. I like to be around guys that stay after and work hard.”
With another June live event with Etowah and two in July with the Atlanta Allstars, Rechsteiner could continue his recruiting rise to close out the summer.
HoopSeen currently has Rechsteiner ranked No. 7 in Georgia’s 2023 class.
