What is 2022 stud Chauncey Wiggins looking for in college?

Chauncey Wiggins began receiving Division I offers before he even played a quarter of high school basketball.

College coaches picked up on his potential early. Standing at 6-foot-9, Wiggins is one of the most versatile big men in the state. He has a great skill set for his size. He has a good handle and can knock down midrange shots and 3-pointers. With his soft touch around the basket, he has a baby hook in his arsenal that is nearly impossible to stop. He runs the floor with ease and can bring the ball up in transition.

Wiggins had a good summer with the Atlanta Celtics. He picked up offers from Ole Miss, UAB, South Florida, and Mississippi State to add to the offers he already received. He said he is currently hearing the most from Auburn, UGA, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, UAB, and Mississippi State. Wiggins is looking for a couple of specific factors.

“I’m really looking at the way they play and how they are coached,” Wiggins said. “I also want to see what player I can play like that has already played there.”

Wiggins recently transferred to Grayson High School, giving the Rams a four-star player to add to their already loaded roster. After watching him play a fall league game with Grayson, it looked like he fit right in. This is a player who will make an immediate impact and help fill in the void of losing Deivon Smith and Caleb Murphy. He adds versatility and even more length to the roster.

“I’m really excited with Coach Pierce and the people I’m playing with,” he said. “We’re long and we’re big. I can shoot, put it on the floor, and drive. I’m active and long so I’m excited for what I can bring to this team.”
