HoopSeen/@BeTheBeastBTB Always Live Showcase Spotlight: Zocko Littleton, CG

With a name like Zocko, how can one not be great at something? Zocko Littleton Jr. is just that at the game of basketball. Just a junior, Littleton Jr. displays an impressive IQ as the lead guard. He can get his shot from anywhere, find the open man, and just knows how to make the right play. He is the type of lead guard that coaches salivate over.

He had a good showing this morning for Team Carroll Premier scoring 14 points and adding several assists. Littleton Jr. has an excellent handle which allows him to get anywhere he wants on the court. His hesitation dribble made it hard for defenders to stay in front of him. He is a great finisher at the rim, finishing over taller bigs. If the defense collapses on him, he kicks it out to his teammates for an open jumper. That is what I mean by he always seemed to make the right play.

I asked Littleton Jr. what he brought to the table as a player. His answer is what college coaches look for out of the guard position.

“I shoot the ball well and always play with high energy,” he said. I run the floor, defend, and try to be the best leader I can be.”

Littleton Jr. currently holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tulsa, Middle Tennessee State, and Wake Forest amongst many more.

He is not in any rush to name favorites or make a commitment. He said he wanted to go on visits before deciding anything. As we all know unfortunately, COVID-19 has put a damper on college visits.

“It’s still early, Littleton Jr. said. “My recruitment is definitely open.”

While he does not know what college he wants to attend, he does know what he wants to improve on before enrolling.

“I want to get stronger and more athletic so I can defend anybody,” he said. “I know at the college level rankings don’t matter. You have to go out there and play.”
