2019 National High School Hoopfest superlatives: Top shooter, Trevor Keels
What a weekend it was as we all gathered at Dematha for some entertaining hoops. With the stats tallied and the awards handed out, it's time to honor some more than well-deserving prospects. First, we start with the event's best shooter.
Was this ever in question?
Fifty-nine points over two days, a game MVP, and a great showing in front of national media and coaches was enough to run away with this award. It was a weekend to remember for Trevor Keels, as every shot he put up seemed to barely graze the rim. There was some timeliness in his shot-making that made it more impressive than your normal attempts. Many of Keels shots seemed to cap off possessions that would turn or improve his teams standing in the game. His offer sheet accurately reflects his game as his skill set will make a program better from his first day on campus.
