Recruitment Heating Up for Taylor
One of North Carolina's top 2021 point guard prospects has been taking unofficial visits and is taking the recruitment process in.
Charlotte (NC) Carmel Christian point guard Justin Taylor has been on the HoopSeen radar for a while now and had a strong showing during the NCAA June Evaluation period that helped propel him up the 2021 HoopSeenNC rankings to #15 in the state.
The University of South Florida and Elon has already extended an offer to the 6-foot-2 lead guard who spent the summer playing with Team United on the Nike EYBL 16U division.
IN HIS OWN WORDS
"The University of South Florida offer meant a lot to me because it was my first offer and they had no doubt in their mind that I'd be a good fit for their program and I was very excited to receive it."
"The Elon offer meant a lot to me because it was my first in-state offer and the new coaching staff told me they're trying to build a winning culture with local talent."
GAINING HIGH MAJOR INTEREST
NC State, Clemson and Tennessee have been in touch with the junior guard.
He took an unofficial visit to Appalachian State this weekend. "It was great! They have a nice campus," he said. He was also invited to attend an upcoming NC State football game and tour the campus unofficially.
