Caleb Byrd was trending in June during the new NCAA Live Period for scholastic events. The guard from Rome, GA picked up offers and interest at a rapid clip during that time. The class of 2020 guard showed his scoring touch, speed to the rim and crafty ball-handling on that stage. 

His recruitment is as active as any guard in the Peach State. To date, Byrd said he holds offers from Buffalo, Murray State, Wofford, Georgia Southern, South Alabama, Florida Gulf Coast, Ohio, Elon, Appalachian State, Northern Kentucky, Mercer, East Carolina, Navy, Tennesse State, Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State, and Southern Illinois. 

Byrd added he has interest from Georgia, Southern Mississippi and South Florida. 

He's already locked up a pair of official visits. He will be at Georgia Southern on September 6-8 and then to Wofford on September 20-22. He said he and his family are working on Murray State visit right now, too.
