JaQueze Kirby commits to Murray State
Ja’Queze Kirby ended his recruitment on Wednesday. The all-gas, no-brake forward from Hazelhurst (GA) Jeff Davis High School is headed to Murray State.
"I chose Murray State because of the environment. The entire team took me in as if I was already family. It reminded me of my hometown. The coaches and players are great people," Kirby told HoopSeen.com.
Kirby, the No. 9 ranked player in Georgia's class of 2020, visited the Ohio Valley Conference school last weekend officially.
Kirby fits the mold of player that has success at Murray State over the years. He’s a high energy, versatile and productive player that can play multiple positions.
"I love Murray State's style of play. The play uptempo and that's my type of play."
He joins Florida guard Dionte Blanch, who committed to the Racers at the beginning of the month.
The tandem make for one of the best 1-2 punches committed to a non power conference school in the country.
Kirby has been a multiple year HoopSeen all-state selection at Jeff Davis. He’s been a key member of the Upward Stars program.
