One on one with 2020 5-star Bryce Thompson

Bryce Thompson has been one of the best players here in Colorado Springs for the USA Basketball Junior National Team minicamp. But that’s not a big surprise. He’s been one of the best guards in the country this travel season.

His shooting touch has been his calling card. Consistency, skill development and off the charts intangibles paired with an engaging and professional personality has drawn in the blue bloods in his active recruitment.

Several head coaches wrapped up the busy July recruiting period here watching him play. They’re all positioning their schools to be in the best spot possible to land the 5-star guard from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The most consistent schools in the race have been Arkansas, Kansas, Michigan State, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. He has already taken all five of his official visits. He’s been to Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Oklahoma and Texas A&M already.

So, what’s next?

We talked about that in our one-on-one conversation this weekend.
