Mid-majors follow David Green to AZ for NCAA Academy

Floridian David Green drew a crowd in Phoenix. The 6-foot-6 wing from Orlando had schools follow him across the country to see him at the NCAA Academy at Grand Canyon University.

Green said he holds offers from Appalachian State, Charleston, Georgia Southern, Hofstra, Louisiana Tech, Mercer, North Florida, St. Bonaventure and Stetson. The majority of those schools were in Phoenix on Tuesday to see Green in action.

He didn’t disappoint. Green was one of the top athletes and match-up problems in the camp on opening day.

Green said also has interest from South Carolina, TCU, Auburn and Oklahoma State. He said he has an official visit set for Georgia Southern on Sept. 9-11, his only visit scheduled so far.
