Official visit season about to begin for KJ Johnson

If you could count on anything during the 2018 HoopSeen circuit it was this - the EAB squad was playing on championship Sunday and point guard KJ Johnson was doing whatever he could do to help his team bring home the championship trophy.

EAB was perfect in the spring, winning the Bama Jam, Atlanta Jam and Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. In July, EAB went toe to toe with the shoe giants and packed the gym with college coaches.

Johnson, the ever-present, fro-bouncing point guard was one of the most tenacious players we had at our events this past season. No one can match his and his team’s resumé on the hardwood.

Now his attention shifts to recruiting and the non-majors are clawing at a chance to lock up one of the best winners in the South.

Johnson told us he has four official visits coming up. They are: Wofford (Sept. 8-9), Morehead State (Sept. 14-15), North Alabama (Sept. 21-22) and Campbell, also in September.

All four programs spent a good part of July, particularly at the Best of the South, watching Johnson in action. He played some of his best basketball of his travel career on that stage.
