#Gibbons Spotlight: TJ Bickerstaff
Coming off a season in which he gained several offers, HoopSeen spoke with TJ Bickerstaff to discuss this past year. A one-point loss in the final four taught Bickerstaff a few things as he reflects on the season. "My coach talks to me a lot about things to work on. I have to be more of a leader. More vocal. I have to be more focused during the game. I have to be locked in every play defensively. Not being backdoored and things like that."
Offers from UNCC, Bucknell, Georgetown, Mercer. Eastern Michigan, Old Dominion, UAB came in this season with several more showing high interest. Throw on the tape or catch a game and you'll see why many schools have expressed the desire to sign the 6'7 swiss army knife.
"A lot of the schools are on me because I'm really versatile and play any position. I can help my team win. I haven't been to any of the new schools that offered me yet. I think I'm going to schedule some this month. As of right now, nobody's in the lead. This summer I have to take some more time to think about it. "
Bickerstaff has helped lead Team Charlotte to a 7-1 start on the UAA circuit. What we saw at his most recent outing was a player that is starting to put things together. There weren't many possessions that went by without an imprint being made by the 6'7 forward. When asked what has motivated him so far this summer, the rising senior kept it short and to the point
"I want to be the greatest. I just have to work hard every single game so I can get better."
