#Gibbons Spotlight: Zach Loveday
The Louisville Magic had a successful weekend at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions in the 16U division, and a lot of it was because of 2020 Gallipolis (OH) Gallia Academy power forward Zach Loveday.
Loveday, a skilled, 6-foot-10 big man, was an extremely tough matchup for opposing big men with his versatile skill-set and the ability to stretch the floor. The lefty knocked down several shots from the perimeter throughout the weekend, but one of the most impressive parts of his game was his passing ability. Loveday also showed his mobility and shot-blocking ability, too.
The sophomore has already become a popular prospect on the recruiting trail. Several high-major programs have already thrown their hats in the ring with scholarship offers.
"Xavier, Purdue, and Ohio State have offered me so far," Loveday told HoopSeen.com. "Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, and Clemson are some of the schools showing interest.
Loveday has also already taken unofficial visits to Michigan, West Virginia, and Kentucky. He doesn't have tentative plans for anything throughout the summer, but, with much of the Midwest showing early interest, he could pop up with some visits.
