#Gibbons Spotlight: Jaron Williams
In the modern era of basketball, there is a demand and attraction to combo forwards who can play either forward position and provide a matchup problem at either one.
Upward Stars York County 2018 wing/forward Jaron Williams has the makings of one of those guys.
At a strong-bodied 6-foot-6, Williams can provide a little bit of everything on a basketball floor. He can score inside and out, he rebounds well, and he can push the ball himself in transition. At the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions, he was a very difficult player to defend when you combine all of that with the physicality, energy, and toughness that he played with. He was also very vocal on the floor and was the leader of his squad.
Williams currently holds Division I offers from Presbyterian, Longwood, Hampton, Winthrop, and Delaware State as well as a handful of Division II offers.
He says that Longwood is currently recruiting him the hardest and is an attractive offer to him.
With the way he played at Gibbons, expect him to draw more interest as a player with good size who can provide versatility and would be a player that coaches would love to have.
