Best of the South Profile: Zach Mack
2017 Charlotte (NC) Victory Christian School point guard Zach Mack burst onto the scene in April at the Atlanta Jam, displaying his athleticism and wow'ing those who watched his games. In fact, Mack was named to the #ATLJam All-Tournament Team and was named one of the top performers from the event.
Mack, an explosive 6-foot guard, continued his impressive play at the Best of the South last weekend. He is a high-major athlete that is more than capable of playing above the rim, but he can also erupt in scoring from the perimeter, too.
Mack has yet to receive his first scholarship offer. However, that could change in time. Several programs are showing high interest in the high leaper.
"Wofford, Jacksonville, Tennessee Tech, Ohio, Winthrop, and Longwood are showing interest in me," Mack told HoopSeen.com.
Mack went to Longwood for their elite camp during June. He also plans to make two other visits in the near future.
"I'm not sure when I will take them, but I am planning on visiting Jacksonville and Ohio in the future."
With the travel season coming to a close, don't expect the interest to slow down for Mack. He's an intriguing option in the backcourt.
