Best of the South Profile: Grayson Murphy
Team Corey Brewer has attracted a host of college coaches for each of their games at Best of the South thus far, and one of the main reasons for that is because of 2017 Franklin (TN) Independence point guard Grayson Murphy.
Murphy, a 6-foot-2 guard, has had multiple coaches from the A-Sun, SoCon, and OVC in attendance to see him each game. He has sealed his fate as a priority backcourt player for many schools.
"I have offers from Troy, Lipscomb, Austin Peay, Belmont, High Point, Jacksonville State, Furman, Campbell, Loyola (MD), and UT-Martin have offered me," Murphy told HoopSeen.com following his game Friday.
With tons of attention coming his way, a handful of schools have distanced themselves and made him a priority to this point.
"I would say Lipscomb, Belmont, Austin Peay, Jacksonville State, and Furman are recruiting me the hardest right now."
During May and June, Murphy took several visits to get a better idea of the college programs recruiting him. He recently made trips to Lipscomb, Belmont, Furman, and Jacksonville State.
