Visits set for Jamir Moultrie

Things are beginning to ramp up for Jamir Moultrie. The 6-foot guard for the Baltimore Elite bunch has a clean bill of health and because of it, has become much more consistent with his production this spring. After getting another glimpse of the Bishop McNamara product over the weekend at the Hoop Group Southern Jam Fest, Moultrie has regained his quick first step along with his killer mid-range pull-up, all of which is leading to a more heated college recruitment.
His first year with the Baltimore Elite travel program, Moultrie has slid in nicely on the very talented squad, a group that is undefeated thus far in adidas Gauntlet play. With eight straight wins under their belt, Moultrie has been a leading catalyst for his team’s success early on. Averaging over 10 points per game off of nearly 40-percent shooting from beyond the arc, Moultrie has been able to show that he can score it and also facilitate within the half-court setting.
This past weekend in Hampton, the 6-foot guard displayed major toughness and explosiveness at the basket. He was able to slow things down whenever it was needed, yet also was more than willing to speed the game up in getting easy baskets out in transition. Active, engaged, and productive, Moultrie has his game on the uptick, which bodes well for his college recruitment.
Offers are in hand from the likes of Virginia Tech, Butler, WVU, and George Washington where priority attention is coming from a bevy of college programs throughout the east coast. Two weeks back, Moultrie and his father made a trip to La Salle and the month of June looks to be a busy one for the rising senior. “We have visits set up for Murray State on June 4, Rhode Island on June 11, and George Mason on June 17,” Moultrie’s father told HoopSeen. “We are also planning to visit Virginia Tech and Monmouth.”
Fully healthy and confident, Moultrie continues to rework his game where things are leaning towards a quality, high-priority recruitment this summer and fall.
