Two schools coming hardest for 2017 wing Tony Jackson
2017 Radcliff (KY) North Hardin wing Tony Jackson was one of the top players in attendance at Gibbons over the weekend, as he went home with All-Tournament team honors in the 17U division.
Jackson, a physical 6-foot-4 wing, displayed his all-around game on both ends of the floor. The junior exudes toughness, as he is the poster boy for the Louisville Magic - tough, hard-nosed kids that play give it their all each time they step on the floor. Jackson is a lockdown defender on the perimeter, and, with his strength and size, he can guard some of the 4, too.
Several college programs have already noticed his versatility and toughness to this point. He holds numerous offers from mid-major schools, along with some interest from high-major programs.
“UAB, Western Kentucky, Oklahoma, Northern Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, VCU, and Murray State are some of my offers. There are some more, but those are the first ones off the top of my head,” Jackson told HoopSeen.com at Gibbons. “Texas and Cincinnati are showing interest, too.”
With double-digit scholarship offers in hand, two programs have done their due diligence and are coming the hardest for Jackson right now.
“Definitely Murray State and VCU. They are coming the hardest. I talk to them the most.”
Besides the short trip over to Murray State to check out the Racers, Jackson has yet to take any visits.
With his versatility and toughness all over the floor, don’t be surprised to see some more high-major programs take a strong look at Jackson as the summer unfolds.
