Elite Preview Profile: Evan Cole

Possibly overshadowed coming out of a program not known for its basketball in South Forsyth, Class of 2017 forward Evan Cole turned heads at the Elite Preview with his athleticism and high-motor.

At 6-foot-7, the big man even threw down a game-winning dunk in sudden death overtime over two bigger rim protectors, impressing those in attendance.

“I used to be real skinny and then I gained some weight and been working so I got a little more athletic than I used to be,” he said.

Cole hasn’t seen the offers pile up yet but Tennessee Tech and Mercer are among the top two schools showing the most interest in acquiring his services. For his upcoming senior season, Cole is planning on attacking the weight room and working on his jump shot as a stretch four in college. He will play with the Atlanta All-Stars at our upcoming Atlanta Jam April 15-17.
