Best of the Available Players in South Carolina 2020 Class
A small portion of South Carolina's class of 2020 is starting to find homes at the college level. With only five players committed there are still a number of players who are on the board.
Some are closer than others to ending their respective recruitments. Some are looking to wait until the spring to pick a school. In this piece we go through the best player at each position who is still on the board from South Carolina.
Mack who is now at Mauldin (SC) High School since transferring from Greenville (SC) Legacy Charter has offers from Nicholls State and Coastal Carolina. The 6-foot-2 lead guard spent the travel season with Team South Carolina and played on our HoopSeen stage at The Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions where he was named to the all tournament team. Mack tells HoopSeen that Montana State, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Southern Wesleyan, Lander, Anderson and Newberry have all been in contact recently.
We saw Snell quite a bit on our HoopSeen stage this travel season playing with the Carolina Wolves. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is a scorer first and foremost. Snell has offers from Missouri Baptist University and Erskine University. He has been hearing from Lincoln-Memorial, Radford, Lees McRae, Mars Hill and Queens. No visits are set up at this time.
We saw the big combo guard out of Sumter (SC) Lakewood at our HoopSeen South Carolina Fall Preview and he was named a top overall performer. Hodge sports offers from Florida Gulf Coast, Appalachian State, Murray State, South Carolina State, Mercer, Presbyterian, UT-Martin, College of Charleston, Hofstra, Siena, Coastal Carolina and Winthrop. He has been hearing from North Florida most recently and no visits are set up right now.
The Columbia (SC) Gray Collegiate small forward is a native of Paterson, New Jersey and attended Immaculate Conception before transferring to South Carolina. He holds an offer from St. Peter’s and has been hearing from Western Carolina, Wichita State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Presbyterian and Charleston Southern. He tells HoopSeen that College of Charleston has been in contact more than anyone. Rogers and his coach Dion Bethea are setting up visits for November.
Our #1 ranked player in the HoopSeen South Carolina rankings, Hall has helped Roebuck (SC) Dorman High School to the last two SCHSL 5-A state championships and looks to finish his career with a third. Hall released his top-5 schools Georgia Tech, Florida, Clemson, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. Hall has visited each of his final five except for Tennessee and Georgia Tech. The Upward Stars SE standout is set to take his official visit to Rocky Top this weekend and will visit Atlanta to see Georgia Tech the following week.
