14 AND UNDER CHAMPIONSHIP

Team Georgia Stars 2022 beat Bostic Next Level 77-73 in a back-and-forth overtime win in the 14 and under division of the Georgia Cup II tournament on Sunday

Isiah Josey had a great game for the stars with 13 points. Demonte Gaston scored 15 points with the majority coming from inside the paint. Trevun Shephard-Johnson scores 11 points with also came from attacking the basket as he got to the free throw line multiple times.

 

McRae Ball led Bostic Next Level with 23 points that included 4 three-pointers. Devein Henderson also contributed 14 points with several transition layups. - Chase Crawford

 

 

13 AND UNDER CHAMPIONSHIP

Team TSF Elite 2023 beat Team North Georgia Elite 37-35 to win the 13 and under division of the Georgia Cup I tournament on Sunday. 

CJ Adams scored 12 points with the majority coming from inside the paint. Aristotle Walker also added 8 points and had success in transition and made a three point shot as well. TSF Elite displayed efficient ball movement throughout the course of the game.

Maxwell Alridge led North Georgia Elite with 13 points with most his points coming from inside. Riley Holliman also added 12 points and has success from the three point line making three three-pointers in the game. - Chase Crawford

12 AND UNDER CHAMPIONSHIP

 

The Gwinnett Hawks beat TNBC 56-45 to claim the 12 and under championship.

Despite a seven-point second quarter from Allen Brown, the Gwinnett Hawks were down by three at the half. In the third, Cory Freeman came out on a mission to put the ball in the basket. He scored seven points of his own to give the Hawks a six-point lead.

TNBC would take advantage of a high foul count, and got points at the line to keep them in the game. Dillon Watt led the charge for TNBC from the point guard position, slicing through the Hawks defense to bring them within two.

The Hawks started the fourth on an 8-0 run to give themselves a little cushion. The lead would stretch to 10 with three and a half minutes left in the game. TNBC would not be able to recover.

Freeman finished with 18 points for the Gwinnett Hawks and Brown helped out with 9. Dillon Watt and Daylon Porter both finished with 12 points each for TNBC. - Bre Singleton
