Georgia Cup: Elementary division championships

11U: TRIPLE DOUBLE 60, GEORGIA JAYHAWKS 30

The 11U Championship game slated The Georgia Jayhawks against Triple Double. Triple Double scored 17 first quarter points to set the foundation for their win. Caleb Underwood sparked Triple Double with 7 first quarter points.

Triple Double took a 15-point lead into halftime, behind strong play from 11U MVP Alex Cunningham.  Cunningham scored 10 of his game-high 20 points in the first half. Triple Double was very aggressive defensively, and limited The Jayhawks to 13 second half points. Tyson Miller was the leading scorer for The Georgia Jayhawks with 11.

Caleb Underwood and Sheperd Jones both scored 10 points for Triple Double. Triple Double defeated The Georgia Jayhawks 60 to 30.

10U: CHATTANOOGA ELITE 38, ATLANTA CELTICS 32

The 10 and under championship was a back and forth affair and that shouldn’t come as a big surprise given their first match-up of the Georgia Cup was a good one. Chattanooga Elite used great ball-pressure and big shots to claim the 38-32 win in the title game.

Rodney Henderson scored 16 points to lead all scorers in the win. He was crafty with the ball and confident as a shooter. Carden Bauchain scored six points and Redi Conley and Reginald Hubbard each scored five. Cameron Sparks added four points.

The Celtics were paced by the size of Juan Gaston inside, who controlled the boards throughout the game. He also scored four points. Ziair Finch scored nine points. Quron Elliott scored seven points while Jaden London scored five in the loss.
