Class AAAAAA

Douglas County 59, No. 1 Westlake 57: The Lions have now dropped back-to-back games and will tumble from their No. 1 spot. Brandon Robinson and Kalen Clifton both scored 13 points in the win for the Tigers.

No. 4 Tift County 81, Colquitt County 56: Iman Holley scored 16 points to lead the Blue Devils with Tyrie Jackson close behind netting 15. Deion White scored 12.

No. 6 Pebblebrook 101, East Coweta 48: Collin Sexton scored 32 points and tallied 11 rebounds and nine assists in the rout.

Brookwood 62, No. 8 Shiloh 59: Just days after rebounding with a 74-44 drilling of No. 9 Dacula, Shiloh was upended for the third time in region play, this time by the Broncos and in the process, potentially falling out of the top ten. Micah Kinsey won the point guard battle with six points, 12 assists, nine steals and six rebounds. Bubba Parham led Brookwood with 18 points. Shiloh received 12 points, 12 rebounds, eight steals, four blocks and four assists from Georgia Tech signee Josh Okogie.

Lambert 74, West Forsyth 46: Navy signee Connor Mannion was unstoppable, finishing with 23 points and 23 rebounds.

Johns Creek 65, Alpharetta 62: Mark Lancaster scored a team-high 18 points in the win for the Gladiators.

Woodstock 63, Etowah 45: The Wolverines swept the season series with rival Etowah in convincing fashion, taking the bragging rights in Towne Lake. Tyreke Johnson scored a game-high 18 points and dished out five assists. Zack Wallace and Brant Hurter both scored 14 points.

Marietta 65, Osborne 54: Khayvon Benson led the Blue Devils in scoring with 26 points. Fionn Brown added 20 points in the win. Latrell Tate finished with 24 points, five rebounds and five assists in the loss.

Campbell 79, Langston Hughes 74: Campbell won again and is quickly becoming one of the hottest teams in the state. Mike Olmert dropped 27 points and eight assists to pace the Spartans. Laz Walker added 21 points and six rebounds for good measure.

South Forsyth 64, Chattahoochee 58: Evan Cole posted a monster game inside for the War Eagles. He finished with 21 points, 15 rebounds and eight blocks. Austin Childress sank 5-of-6 threes for 15 points and Tyler Elliott added 12 points in the region victory.

Hillgrove 66, North Paulding 58: The Wolfpack fell to the Hawks but Chad Terrell performed well. He had 18 points and eight rebounds. Luke Dabbelt and McCoy Etienne scored 12 and 11 points respectively. Ethan Reid had 10 points and six assists.

Class AAAAA

No. 2 Allatoona 68, Chapel Hill 47: Trey Doomes scored 15 points and added six rebounds, four steals and four assists to power the Bucs to another Region 5 win. Dylon Ramsey finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, five steals and five assists.

No. 3 McIntosh 87, Forest Park 74: Jordan Lyons poured in 28 points to lead the Chiefs over Forest Park. Most of the starters didn’t play in the fourth quarter but Dishon Lowery was still able to post 16 points, 10 rebounds and block six shots.

No. 4 Gainesville 61, Discovery 59: Bailey Minor’s 22 points and five rebounds were just enough to hold off Discovery. Messiah Dorsey scored 12 points for the Red Elephants. DJ Young scored 21 points for the Titans and JeVonte Gordon had 11 in a hard fought loss.

No. 5 Cedar Shoals 64, Loganville 33: Phlan Fleming scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Jerrick Mitchell chipped in eight points and had six assists. Stavion Stevenson scored seven points and had seven rebounds. Snipe Hall and Greg Smith both added seven points apiece.

No. 7 South Paulding 58, New Manchester 47: Anthony Brown set a school-record with 24 rebounds to help the Spartans stave off a feisty Jaguar team. Kane Williams led South Paulding with 21 points. Ja’Cori Wilson added 15.

No. 9 Southwest DeKalb 76, Creekside 51: Keith Gilmore scored 15, Darius Hogan added 14 and Nathaniel Ambersley pitched in 13 points to lead the Panthers.

Apalachee 59, Lanier 45: The Wildcats moved to 16-4 overall with the Region 8 victory, which puts them now at 5-1. Kamar Baldwin scored 29 points, grabbed nine rebounds and collected seven steals, four blocks and three assists. Sophomore Derek Miller had eight points, eight rebounds and five blocks.

Walnut Grove 60, Eastside 56: The Warriors got back on the winning track, but it wasn’t easy. They trailed by as many as 16 in the third quarter before rallying. AJ Jones had 14 points and Dre Durham tallied 13 in the comeback. Jatahj Malcom netted 10.

Stockbridge 49, Luella 40: Virgil Fields had 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for the Tigers. Jadon Davis finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Kavonte Ivery played well with 16 points and seven rebounds.

Morrow 75, Drew 63: The Mustangs take over sole possession of second place in Region 4. Leviticus Glover scored 23 points in the win.

Creekview 62, Woodland-Cartersville 59: Weber Sandlin netted 20 points and added three assists and three rebounds in a win for the Grizzlies.

Flowery Branch 66, Winder-Barrow 56: John Mills helped the Falcons to a Region 8 victory by scoring 15 points. Esteban Ortiz worked for 12 points. Gabe Holston added 14 points and seven rebounds.

 

Lithia Springs 66, Paulding County 58: Malik Rush had a big game for Paulding County but the Patriots still came up short. He finished with 17 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
