Class AAAA

No. 2 Lithonia 56, No. 3 St. Pius 48: With the win, the Bulldogs all but wrap up the regular season Region 6 title. Lithonia used an 11-3 run in the third quarter to pull away. UT-Chattanooga-commit Rodney Chatman finished with 24 points, six rebounds and three assists on senior night. Tyheem Freeman added 16 points. St. Pius was paced by Kerney Lane’s 19 points and seven rebounds.

No. 4 Grady 56, Columbia 52 OT: The Knights survived in overtime. Avi Toomer went for 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists, but it was Ty’Kwaan Bryant’s double-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks that was the X-factor.

No. 5 Liberty County 80, No. 8 Thomson 72: Jucorius Thomas finished with 17 points and eight rebounds, but Liberty County was too much. Darius Turman had 15 points and five rebounds in the loss as the Panthers sweep the Bulldogs.

Bainbridge 92, No. 9 Worth County 78: UGA signee Tyree Crump went off for 45 points in the upset. The Bearcats are now 10-3 in region play.

Henry County 71, Locust Grove 38: Damion Rosser led the Warhawks with 17 points. Javon Greene added 13 and Sadonta Lindley chipped in 11.

Perry 66, Howard 64: Damion Bagley had 27 points, nine rebounds and four steals to help the Panthers survive Howard. Chris Clerkley notched a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Je’Cory Burks netted 11 in the win.

Monroe 68, Albany 45: Emashuan Offord scored 18 points in the Monroe win.

Woodward Academy 59, Fayette County 57: Julian Cameron scored 20 points to lead the War Eagles. Jake Nestlehutt added 11 points while Brennan McDaniel narrowly captured a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Hunter Falconer almost grabbed a triple-double, finishing with eight points, nine assists, nine rebounds and four steals.

Southeast Whitfield 65, Pickens 52: Ty Pendley went for 33 points and seven rebounds in a win over Pickens after scoring 22 points in the first half. Holden Roop and Trent Rizoti did everything they could for the Dragons. Roop had 19 points and six assists while Rizoti earned a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards.

 

Class AAA

No. 1 Morgan County 82, Oconee County 33: Florida Atlantic-commit Jailyn Ingram finished with 18 points and seven rebounds. Freshman Alec Woodard set a school-record with 10 three-pointers en route to 33 points.

No. 3 Calhoun 79, Gordon Central 49: The machine that is Calhoun romped over another opponent. Ray Reeves scored a team-high 20 points. Kaelan Riley (14), Jireh Wilson (12) and Malik Lawrence (10) all found themselves in double digits.

No. 4 Laney 71, Hephzibah 60: Christian Keeling poured in 28 points and collected four steals in the Wildcat win.

No. 6 Central-Macon 73, Spencer 69: The Chargers extend their win streak to 14 games. Derrick Evans Jr. finished with 19 team-high points.

No. 7 Westminster 63, Douglass 54: Westminster earned its 18th straight win against a tough Astros team. Will Benson scored 23 points for the Wildcats while Darius Williams netted a game-high 26 for Douglass.

No. 9 Banks County 55, Franklin County 52: Zez Steeple poured in 26 points to lift the Leopards over upset-minded Franklin County. Trevae Cain, Kendrick Simmons and Zac Orr all scored nine points. Orr also captured his 1,000th career rebound and grabbed nine on the night.

East Hall 79, Fannin County 54: Tylor Brown scored a team-high 22 points while Mahki Brown (12) and Sedrion Morse (11) both filled the statsheet.

Southwest-Macon 68, Jordan 54: Justin Slocum was a monster in middle Georgia. He went off for 31 points and 23 rebounds to move the Patriots to 11-4 in Region 2. Nick Hargrove collected 23 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

White County 65, Monroe Area 55: Desmon Mataro pumped in 24 points for the Warriors in the win.

Jackson County 62, West Hall 55: Joel Ellis (21), Preston Giroux (17), Christian Smith (11) and Stephen Fogarty (10) all scored in double figures for Coach Chuck Butler. Malique Wade was the engine, finishing with seven points and 10 assists.

 

Dawson County 71, Lumpkin County 39: The Tigers dominated in an unexpected result. Cullen Reid sank six threes and finished with 21 points. Jeremiah Crumley had 13 points while Gabe Bryant dominated inside with 13 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks.
