No. 5 Holy Innocents’ 81, KIPP Atlanta 55: Cole Smith finished with a team-high 18 points and was closely followed by Jules Erving and his 17. Harrison Cobb and Richard Surdykowski continued their strong play of late with 12 and 11 points respectively.
No. 6 Lovett 62, Hapeville Charter 45: Lovett led 30-16 at the end of the first half and pushed the lead to 25 before winning 62-45. Henry Richardson hit four of his five 3's in the fourth quarter on his way to 17 points and 6 rebounds James Smith added 14 points and 8 rebounds and Ryan Greer had 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists.
Class A
No. 1 Greenforest 86, W.D. Mohammed 42: Abayomi Iyiola posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds to keep the Eagles undefeated in the state of Georgia. Jandan Duggan scored 13 points and handed out four assists. Victor Enoh had 12 points and eight rebounds. Mohammed Abdulsalem finished with 12 points and seven rebounds while Michael Evans added nine points.
No. 2 St. Francis 90, Mt. Pisgah 54: Kobi Simmons, who just narrowed his college shortlist to three teams (Kentucky, Ohio State, Arizona), finished with 32 points, five rebounds and five assists. Chance Anderson added 15 points and Anthony Showell chipped in 11. Mt. Pisgah was led by Brandon Younger’s 20 and Quinn Richey’s 11 points.
No. 3 North Cobb Christian 83, Mt. Paran 45: Coach Greg Matta captured his 200th victory with a dominant performance against Mt. Paran. The Eagles were paced by Demiere Brown’s 28 points and 12 rebounds.
No. 6 Lakeview Academy 76, Tallulah Falls 42: Tallulah Falls was no match for the powerful Lions. Carter Reeves led Lakeview Academy with 16 points. Drew Cottrell and Josh Randolph scored 14 and 12 points respectively.
No. 7 Whitefield Academy 54, Fellowship Christian 41: Isaiah Hart was the difference maker with 28 points, seven steals and four rebounds. Malik Jones had 13 points and six rebounds to along with three steals.
No. 7 Lincoln County 84, Taliaferro County 43: Zach Crite scored 19 points, Devon Holloway 17 and Maciah Gunby 15 to overwhelm Taliaferro County. Ahamd Rand added 10 points.
No. 9 Stratford Academy 55, Twiggs County 39: Nate Brooks threw down five dunks on the night and finished with 17 points to lead the Eagles. James Mitchell sank three three-pointers en route to nine points.
Landmark Christian 72, Strong Rock Christian 31: Zack Allen almost outscored Strong Rock with 25 points and seven rebounds. Wix Patton posted 11 points and 10 boards.
Excel Christian 50, Gordon Central 39: Darius Thrower scored 16 points and Chris Hale netted 13 for Excel Christian. Caleb West added on 11 points and eight rebounds.
Prince Avenue 47, Providence Christian 37: Alex Timm scored 10 points in the loss.
Mt. Vernon Presbyterian 56, Atlanta International 26: Tahj Keeton finished with 20 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks and Cameron Bennett scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help the Mustangs. Ian Lewis picked up the slack with eight points. KJ Wilkins had 11 points and three assists while battling illness.
Paideia 52, Drew Charter 41: Addison Owen scored 21 points to lead the Pythons. Solomon Burt-Murray netted nine points, while Robbie Holley (8) and Jordan Hollins (7) also found the scoring column.
