Tray Hollowell off to a quick start this season
2017 Hopkinsville (KY) University Heights Academy guard Tray Hollowell is off to a quick start this season. The 6-foot-2 guard is averaging 27 points per game as his team sits at 4-2 closing in on the New Year.
“The season is going good so far,” Hollowell told HoopSeen.com. “I’m becoming a better point guard and leading younger players.”
As expected, several college programs have taken notice of his talent to this point. After playing with Team Corey Brewer during the travel season and his quick to start to the high school season, Hollowell holds a couple of scholarship offers.
“Oklahoma State and Missouri have offered me. Oklahoma, Kansas State, Florida State, Ball State, Kent State, Morehead State, George Mason, and a few others are showing interest.”
During the fall, Hollowell made it a priority to take some early unofficial visits. To date, he has visited Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Missouri. He hopes to visit Florida State soon, too.
As the junior guard continues to put up big numbers during the year, expect his recruitment to continue to expand. Until then, buy a ticket and take a seat – Hollowell is one of the Bluegrass state’s most entertaining players to watch.
