Steel City Invitational spotlight: Kevion Nolan
2017 Anniston (AL) Sacred Heart combo guard Kevion Nolan is already known as one of the top 15 prospects in his class in the state, but the 6-foot-2 scorer is quickly showing he is worthy of a rankings bump and more college attention. After Saturday’s performance at the Steel City Invitational, it’s safe to say both will come soon.
Nolan, a talented shooter and bucket getter, showcased his natural scoring ability Saturday night against Mountain Brook. He followed a 31-point game against the Spartans with some other impressive shooting and scoring performances.
On the recruiting front, the talented junior currently holds an offer from Samford. The Bulldogs have made him a big priority to this point, and Nolan has reciprocated the interest. He has visited campus a few times, including Friday night for Samford’s game against South Alabama.
“Austin Peay, Wichita State, Florida Atlantic, Troy, and South Alabama are also showing interest,” Nolan told HoopSeen.com at the Steel City Invitational.
As Nolan and Sacred Heart continue to make a big splash on the Alabama high school scene this season, the list of college interest will continue to grow. Keep an eye on him heading into the beginning of AAU season.
