How did Georgia's D1 schools do on NSD?

How did the state of Georgia Division I programs fare on opening day of the early signing period? We go through each school and take a look at their respective classes.

Georgia: Mark Fox and the Bulldogs have the commitment from two in-state Top150 guards in Tyree Crump and Jordan Harris. They have both been on board with the Dawgs for awhile, and will make for two very good backcourt pieces in Athens for the next few years.

Georgia Tech: The Yellow Jackets have also put together a very solid class, with the centerpiece being Wheeler big man Romello White, who will be an immediate contributor for Brian Gregory. Joining him are two good wings in Josh Okogie of Shiloh and Maryland prospect Christian Matthews. The Jackets may look to add a guard to this core.

Georgia State: Ron Hunter has the commitment from Gainesville guard D’Marcus Simonds, who will be a centerpiece that the Panthers can build around. Simonds will provide Georgia State with a big scoring punch, and will look to help continue the Panthers’ recent success. Georgia State is also bringing in Perry forward Chris Clerkley, who has a very high ceiling and could develop into a nice piece.

Georgia Southern: The Eagles have the commitment from Godby (FL) combo guard Quan Jackson. The HoopSeen team got familiar with Jackson in his play with Team Speights during the travel season. He gives Southern some good versatility and a good player to pair with current freshman Tookie Brown in the backcourt.

Mercer: The Bears have two shooting guards on board in 2016 class in Ross Cummings of Charlotte (TN) Creek Wood and Darius Roy of Lawton (OK) Eisenhower. These two should fit in with Bob Hoffman’s style of play and will develop into contributors in Macon.

Kennesaw State: First year head coach Al Skinner has two prospects slated to join the Owls in Simpsonville (SC) guard Tyler Hooker, who is playing at Moravian Prep in North Carolina, who is a former East Tennessee State commitment in 2015’s class. Joining him is forward Isaac Mbuyamba of Portland (OR) Park Rose.
